Take it to the Lake Tasting

Let’s get outta the city, let’s go to the lake, I’ll bring the wine you get the steak!

This weekend in El Cajon we’ll explore some great wines for chillin’ at the lake.
We’ll begin with a  highly rated white, then sample several no-fail “Crowd Pleasers”.
And, for those whose taste runs to world class Cabernet, we’ll taste the new Niner Cabernet from Bootjack Ranch vineyard.

Take it to the Lake Tasting

Hermanos Torrontes     ($14.99 During Tasting)

  •  “Shows a superb bouquet of peach skin, pear and a hint of lime flower that has a Riesling-like personality. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannins and a precise, mineral-rich finish that shows what Torrontes can do in the right hands. Excellent.”  92 Points Robert Parker

Hahn Pinot Noir     ($12.99 During Tasting)

  • Deeply ruby in color, while the bouquet charms with scents of red cherry, ripe strawberry, cola and spice. On the palate, flavors recalling black plums and black cherry dance upon its soft mouthfeel. Rounded tannins and a dash of acidity combine to give this wine its clean finish.

Dona Paula Red Wine   ($14.99 During Tasting)

  • “A beautiful red here with light chocolate, berry and nutmeg character. Full body, with ultra-fine tannins and a long, long finish. All here. A blend of malbec, cabernet sauvignon, and petit verdot.”  94 Points JS

Rhiannon   ($11.99 During Tasting)

  • “A mind boggling value ~ Robert Parker”  Made from Syrah, Petite Syrah and Malbec. Aged in French and American oak, it offers abundant red and blackcurrant fruit, sweet dark cherries, licorice and loamy soil undertones. This loaded, delicious, pure, California fruit-bomb is ideal for drinking over the next year.”  “Mind Boggling Wine” – Parker

Niner Cabernet    ($32.99 During Tasting)

  • Ripened plum and black cherry on the nose accented by carnations and rose. Savory fennel cuts through sweet notes of vanilla bean, creating a luscious and enticing aroma. The palate is intensely gratifying, with a soft entry and full finish that melds tannin with rich fruit. Vineyard Blend 76% Bootjack Ranch | 24% Heart Hill Vineyard  ~ Paso Robles
